Lesson 290--December 2014 Quiz


For today's post, I have decided that a test would be a good thing.  The test will have two parts.  The first part will be a fix the mistake section and the second part will be a fill in the preposition part.

Part A

In this part of the test, please correct the mistakes in the sentences.  Please check your answers (there is at least one tricky one) by clicking on the test answer link in the top right corner.


  1. I haven't been to the mall yesterday.

Good Luck on the Speaking Exam

Good luck on the speaking tests everyone.  I know you will all do well.
Just remember:
  1. You have practiced.
  2. You know what to say.
  3. You and your partner work well together.
  4. Your best is good enough.
  5. I am confident, so you should be too.
  6. There are no bad pictures.
  7. Even if you hate the pictures, keep talking.
  8. Fourteen minutes is not a long time.

Lesson 188--"ever" words




Using "ever" words

These words include whenever, whoever, whomever, wherever, whatever and however*
(However is used differently than the conjunction use of however)

These words incorporate the idea of "any" within them.

examples

You can go wherever you want.
You can go anywhere you want.

You can talk to whomever you want.
You can talk to anyone you want.

You dress however you want for the party.
You can dress any way you want for the party.
